Walt: use add/ sub strategies to solve tricky decimal problems.

Task Description: For today's lesson it was based on decimals. We just had to complete this task and post it onto our blog with a Walt, task description , label and a tittle.

Sponge throw at teachers

Walt:

Today just before morning tea, the whole of team 4 got to go and do a very fun activity. We didn’t know what the activity was but we knew for sure it would be fun. Do you do fun activities at your school or house?

As we were in our line putting on our shoes we began walking. The air was pushing on our faces as we reach the bottom field. Mr Sommerville and Mr Jacobson was also there to help. Mr Sommerville told us the name of the game it was called Wet Your Teacher. We had to line up in three lines behind three buckets, three buckets for room seven , three buckets for room six and three buckets for room eight in those buckets there was water and a big, fat, yellow sponge. We basically had to start by dunking the sponge inside the bucket of water, then Mr Sommerville will then say” Aim and Fire”.

Now that moment that we have all been waiting for. I was so excited to watch our teachers get wet. Marika was up she was the first one in our line to go, so first she dunk it and threw it as Mr Goodwin was sitting in the chair she got him right in the chest so did the others. It was my turn as I dipped the sponge into the bucket I tried to get it as wet as possible. I threw it and got him right on his shoulder , I went to grab my sponge to put it back in the bucket then I thought to myself, I might as well get all the water that was left in the sponge on him, so I did. I was giggling and laughing so hard, so was my friends.

There was a lot of great shots fired at our soaky teachers. Me and Zamera patiently waited until it was our turn so that we could fire it and hit his face. Zamera went up excitedly and threw it and got him right where she wanted it to go, on his face. It was my turn again I grabbed the sponge and threw it so hard and got him right in the stomach. We had a couple more goes and did well, we had some amazing throwers but it was time for the activity to finish. We had a little prize giving but Mr Sommerville had forgotten the treats so he came up with another treat which was fill the bucket full of water and dump it on your teachers.

After all that spectacular fun we had to head off to class and eat our morning tea. At first I was so nervous about what we were doing but when I found out we were wetting our teachers I got so excited. I had a great time wetting our teacher especially when I got him in the shoulder. I was so sad that the activity was over. The End.

Task Description: For this task we did an experience today we got one of the best opportunity it was throwing sponges at our teachers. It was basically about our test so we had to write what we did at the experience.
