Athens 1896 - The First Olympic Games

The Olympics of 1896 In Athens, in Greece had fourteen countries taking part with most of the athletes from Greece. This first modern Olympics was the largest meeting international competitors that had ever occurred. The next Olympics held in paris, four years later, was the first to allow women competitors. This time the Olympics were part of a much bigger event and lasted several months.

Ben Johnson

In 1988 Ben Johnson was in the 100m final sprint. Ben Johnson is from canada he was competing against Carl Lewis and other competitors. Ben Johnson had took a lot of drugs.

Ben Johnson had big muscles. All eyes on Ben Johnson and Carl Lewis. In the 50m race Ben Johnson was gone he had finish the race and won the gold medal.

Sadly for all the bad reasons when Ben Johnson was   taking his drug test they realized that Ben Johnson took drugs and won the gold medal. But there was something wrong because Carl Lewis was meant to win the gold medal because Ben Johnson had took drugs. So Carl Lewis had won the gold medal so Ben Johnson ended up being disqualified.

Yummy Cupcakes

Today we are having yummy and delicious cupcakes. We have triple chocolate muffins 2 of those,dried apricot loaf and lemon passion fruit loaf.I had help mum and big cousin do the cake.I had done the chopping and the mixing it was awsome making cupcakes and loaf.As soon as we had done all of it it was time to put t in the oven. We had waited for one hour for all of it be ready. While we were waiting for the cupcakes and loaf we had being watching netflix. Then the bell rang it was all ready and finally we got to eat it.It was so delicious.

Butterfiy creek

Today I was very excited because we are going to butterfly creek.As we hoped into the car and was excited to go that I had “told mum to hurry up and lets go so mum said” okay.So on our way we were so excited. As soon as we got there we had went saw the farm first there were happy lambs,talking birds,sleeping pigs, turtle and cute rabbits and also a kangaroo.The farm was amazing but it was time to go to the dinosaur. It was very cool and little baby dinosaurs but the dinosaur was a bit boring but finally the moment that I had been waiting for the fish there was one where we have to fine Dory and Nemo i had found Nemo and his dad and also Dory.So I had won the fifty dollrs i had saved it and the next one was the butterfly. Inside the hot area where the butterflys were I had a lot on me there was one big one on my neck and arm even one on my eye. But it was time to go home so we went home safely.

                                                                               

usain bolt

Usain Bolt was thankful for all his support and that he had won the race and got the gold medal.Usain Bolt was also proud cause he won for his country and that he is extraordinarily proud of himself. Usain Bolt was feeling also like a champion because he is the fastest man in the world.

flame olympics

The Ancient Greeks started the tradition of having an Olympic flame. In Olympia a sacred flame is lit by the sun's rays and stays alight until the games have ended. The flame symbolized a request for protection from Zeus and the athletes’ struggles for victory.

The Modern flame symbolizes the light of the spirit, knowledge and life. To this day, the torch is still lit in Olympia in Greece, then carried by a relay team, passing runner to runner, until it reaches the host-city of the games. There the cauldron will be lit and stay alight until the closing ceremony.
