  8. Kia Ora Sonnia!

Wow - you finished the Summer Learning Journey so quickly! We are so impressed by your awesome efforts this year. You should be really proud of yourself for continuing your learning throughout the summer holidays and now you will be ready for when school starts! It's awesome that you think your reading has improved too.

You're so right! There are so many birds (and other animals) that need our help. Far too many of them are in danger of becoming extinct. It is so important that we do what we can to help and save our wildlife and our environment. Picking up rubbish is a very good way to do this.

In a few weeks I will be coming to assembly to hand out all the prizes for the Summer Learning Journey. I can't wait to see you there!

    Bye for now,

    Sophie :)

  9. Kia Ora Sonnia,

Huge congratulations on completing the entire Summer Learning Journey programme this year. Wow! That is amazing!

I am thrilled to read that you feel that you have learned a lot about the natural environment in New Zealand and, particularly, about the amazing birds that we have here in the country. I am also really happy to see that you feel that your reading has gotten better. That is fabulous!

We can't wait to see you when we come into Pt England to hand out the certificates and prizes for the Summer Learning Journey programme this year. Sophie is going to email Mr Burt to ask when we are able to come in. I'm really hoping to come with her so that I can congratulate you in person. What an awesome job you have done!

Our team is still working through all of the activities so you can expect a few more comments over the coming days. We've had so many students participate this year that it is taking us a little while to get through to everyone but we are very aware of the awesome work that you have done and will definitely be posting more comments very soon:)

    Way to go, Sonnia!

All the best for a great year ahead.

    Rachel :)
