  1. Kia Ora Sonnia,

Thank you so much for the beautiful letter. I am thrilled to read that you enjoyed the programme and I know that our entire Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) team will be so touched when they read it!

I will send them a link to your letter right now and I'm sure that you will receive some messages from the other cluster managers over the next few days.

Speaking of the next few days, what are you up to this week? I can see that you've been busy going to the movies, Parakai and the arcade. Do you have any other special plans before school starts? Aronui (my son) starts back at school tomorrow. It's hard to believe that he's already heading back for another year! I think that he is excited and also a little bit nervous as he is heading into the senior class in his school (a Year 5/6 class). He's going into Year 5.

I hope that your year starts really well at Pt England when you head back in February. See you at the school very soon!

    All the best,
    Rachel :)

  2. Kia Ora Sonnia,

This is such an awesome little thank you message that you have written! It means so much to the SLJ team and myself that you have enjoyed participating in the programme this year. We are thrilled to be able to provide this wonderful programme to you and your classmates so that you can learn in a fun and exciting way throughout the summer holidays!

Which activity was your favourite? I think that my favourite one was the fantastic beast activity because I loved getting to read about all of the amazingly creative beasts! I remember reading about your unicorn beast - she is awesome!

I hope that you enjoy the end of your holiday and enjoy the start of the school year. I can't wait to come into Pt England to hand out all the prizes and see you all!

    See you there,

    Sophie :)

  3. Mōrena Sonnia,

Thank you for the lovely thank you message. I know speaking on behalf of all of the Cluster Managers and commenters, we have absolutely loved being part of this journey with the tamariki of New Zealand and seeing the creativity shine out of you all. Although you have largely been doing the same activities as others, each student has been so unique in their response and it has made our job so enjoyable.

I am so glad that you have enjoyed this programme as much as we have. I feel very lucky to have been in this position for two years now!

Good luck with 2019 Sonnia, I hope you have a fabulous year at school and feel excited and ready to learn after working so hard to keep your reading and writing up this summer.

    Nga mihi,
    Georgia.
